The threesome sex. videoCR-56 AMAX caught a nerf in Warzone’s May 7 update, but another Assault Rifle is already primed to take its place as the game’s best gun.

Warzone Season 3 brought back Verdansk as well as a number of iconic guns from the original version to recapture the magic. Unsurprisingly, these weapons have dominated the meta ever since, with the HDR and Grau conversion showing up in most loadouts.

But the best of the bunch was the CR-56 AMAX, which immediately became the number one gun thanks to its rapid TTK and low recoil. However, after weeks of being the top dog, it was finally given a nerf in the May 7 update.

If that’s left you wondering what to use going forward, don’t worry, the same update also buffed another AR to create a tailor-made replacement — the Krig C.

Krig C replaces AMAX as Warzone’s best weapon

While the AMAX was handed a major nerf to its damage across the board and mobility, the Krig C was handed massive improvements across the board. It’s already impressive damage was given a slight buff, as well as its headshot multiplier, bullet velocity, and ADS speed.

But real standout was the changes to its recoil, as the devs admitted that it was too hard to land shots with over longer distances.

“The Krig C’s recoil was holding it back from being a viable option compared to other ARs at range,” the devs explained in the patch notes. “This change allows it to compete at longer range engagements.”

When you add all of this together, you’re left with an Assault Rifle that deals a ton of damage, feels snappy, and is incredibly easy to use. So, although the CR-56 still hits slightly harder, the lack of recoil on Krig means you’ll achieve a fast TTK far more consistently.
