The Essex Model 07 is a powerful new Marksman Rifle that’s been making a splash in Warzone, and while it packs a punch on its own, it’s even more deadly with the best loadout.

For the most part, the Warzone meta tends to be dominated by Assault Rifles and SMGs, mostly thanks to their versatility and ease of use. Occasionally, a Sniper Rifle will find its way into contention, with the HDR being almost unstoppable since it returned in Season 3.

The best Essex Model loadout is all about maximizing its one-shot potential and making it easier to use. Kicking things off is the Jason Armory 2X, a clean optic that offers extra zoom and is perfect for mid-range fights.

Next up, the Monolithic Suppressor and Long Barreloffer extra bullet velocity and, crucially, damage range, ensuring that a headshot is a one-hit kill up to 34 meters. You’ll also need the Quickdraw Lever for a huge buff to the ADS speed, allowing you to snap onto targets with ease.

Finally, the Stripper Clipdrastically speeds up reload times. While it does reduce your ammo capacity to six, this should be more than enough in most situations.

The Essex Model 07 isn’t quite a meta gun in Warzone, but it’s still deadly if you play to its strengths. It’s capable of one-shotting up to 34 meters, so if you’re accurate and landing headshots consistently, you’ll be deleting teams in no time.

However, it comes with the tradeoff of being high risk, high reward, as missing that first shot can give your opponent a window to take you out. You’ll need at least two chest shots up to 80 meters or even three to the stomach, so it’s only effective in skilled hands.

All that being said, it’s more mobile than a sniper and kills quicker than virtually any other weapon at mid-range, so it’s worth giving a chance.

How to unlock Essex Model 07

You can get your hands on the Essex Model 07 by completing the Ballerina event in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. You need to collect High Table Coins from defeated enemies to unlock 10 different rewards, and once you have them all, the rifle will be yours.

If you don’t manage to get it before the event ends, don’t worry, it’ll be added to the Armory shortly after.

Best alternatives

If the Essex isn’t quite cutting it, and you want something with more range, the AMR Mod 4 is a top-tier sniper after receiving a range buff. Alternatively, the DM-10 can’t quite match the other two for damage, but its semi-auto fire rate is much more forgiving.
